PROTO is OPAP’s digit game: you predict a seven-digit number, from 0000000 to 9999999, exactly and in order. It is drawn three times a week alongside TZOKER; the first category works as an accumulating jackpot, while every other category pays fixed amounts. This guide covers all the rules and the odds of each category.
Example pick: a seven-digit number from 0000000 to 9999999. Leading zeros are perfectly valid choices.

How to play PROTO
Choose your seven-digit number
The basic column is one number from 0000000 to 9999999. The digits are predicted in order, and leading zeros are completely normal picks.
Or let luck choose
Online you can play random seven-digit numbers or runs of consecutive numbers, according to the available options, without marking anything yourself.
Pay and keep your ticket
The simple column costs €0.50. PROTO is available at OPAP stores and online, where you can add it to the same ticket as TZOKER or LOTTO according to the official provider’s available options.
Wait for the draw
Draws take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 22:00 in the evening. The result is a single seven-digit number, announced together with the rest of that night’s games.

PROTO has 6 prize categories. The 1st requires all 7 digits; the rest are won with the first or last digits of the drawn number, from 6 digits down to just 2.
PROTO categories, prizes and odds
The 6 PROTO categories with the current prizes and odds. Only the 1st category is a jackpot; all the others pay fixed amounts.
| Category | Correct pick | Prize | Odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | All 7 digits in order | Jackpot | 1 in 10,000,000 |
| 2nd | First or last 6 digits | €25,000 | about 1 in 526,316 |
| 3rd | First or last 5 digits | €2,500 | about 1 in 50,251 |
| 4th | First or last 4 digits | €250 | about 1 in 5,003 |
| 5th | First or last 3 digits | €25 | about 1 in 500 |
| 6th | First or last 2 digits | €2 | about 1 in 50 |
Categories 2 to 6 are won with either the first or the last digits of the winning number. The fixed amounts are identical in every draw. Probabilities refer to matching the prefix or suffix, including longer matches; they are not exclusive payout probabilities for each category.
How the PROTO jackpot works
The 1st category, all 7 digits correct, is the only pool-based tier: a share of entries is collected, and when nobody wins it rolls over to following draws. The jackpot thus grows step by step, historically passing several hundred thousand euros more than once.
Categories 2 to 6 work quite differently: they pay predetermined amounts, from €2 for the 2 edge digits up to €25,000 for 6, regardless of how many columns won.
Example of comparing digits
Example: for a result of 4973604, the pick 4973699 matches the first 5 digits, while 9973604 matches the last 5. Having the same digits in different positions is insufficient.
It is drawn on the same nights as TZOKER, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 22:00, and its results appear instantly in the Lucky Play app along with the full history of past draws.
