How to play LOTTO

  1. Pick 6 numbers

On each column you mark 6 numbers from 1 to 49. If you prefer, random pick fills them in for you.

  2. Consider a system

Full systems let you choose 7 to 49 numbers and play all their combinations; the 10 standardized systems give comparable chances at lower cost.

  3. Pay and keep your ticket

Each column costs €1.00. LOTTO is available at OPAP stores and online, where entries close half an hour before each draw.

  4. Add PROTO if you like

On the same online ticket you can add PROTO columns, the seven-digit number game, and play them together with LOTTO.

  5. Check your ticket

LOTTO has 5 prize categories, from the 6 correct numbers of the first category down to 2 correct in the fifth. Results are announced on Wednesday and Saturday nights.

The first category pays EUR 10,000/month per success for up to three successes. With four or more, the EUR 30,000/month cap is shared equally. The second category has a EUR 150,000/month cap, shared when successes exceed 150.

The new LOTTO: a salary instead of a jackpot

The first category pays €10,000 per month for 10 years per success, up to three successes in the draw. The second pays €1,000 per month for one year per success, up to 150 successes. Above those thresholds, the distribution caps explained below the table apply.

Example: if four entries match all 6 numbers, the €30,000 monthly cap gives €7,500 per success. The total over ten years is then €900,000 before any deductions.

Draw schedule and history

Draws are Wednesday and Saturday at 22:00, with entry closing at 21:30. To find a historical result, use the draw number together with the date; the same numbers can occur in different draws.

In the Lucky Play app, Wednesday and Saturday results appear right after the draw, along with date-based history and search by draw number.
